SILVER FISH: 43 underwater photographers from 23 countries got four dives in Turkey to shoot the world’s best images of 2011. My picture of a blennie was awarded the silver medal in the category Fish, and the image of a nudibranch was ranked as number 8 in the category Macro. I placed 9th in total, after one great week of fun, challenges, happy bubbles - and meeting fantastic people from all over the world in Bodrum, Turkey.
These are my images submitted to the jury:

No editing is allowed in this competition and you can only shoot a total of 100 images per day. Huge thanks to supermodel and premium fish-spotter Helge Veum, the rest of Team Norway and especially Captain Vidar Skålevik for keeping us in place - the dive team of Happy Bubbles for supporting our training dives, Waterproof wet suits for keeping us warm in the chilly Mediterranean sea, Scuba Pro for light fins - and award winning underwater photographer Esteban Toré for inspiration...
Congratulations to Turkey for the gold medal, Spain for the silver medal and Slovenia for the bronze medal - and of course the rest of our Scandinavian "superteam", Sweden with the silver medal and also Denmark for great results! : )
